Why Moorea Reo Tour?

REO means language, voice, melody.

We chose this name for our company because it’s the word that best defines us. Both Polynesian children, we are proud to promote our Fenua, and to do so with the utmost respect.

Through our legends, we represent the voice of our history.
Through our customs, we represent the voice of our culture.
Through our songs, we represent the voice of Polynesians.
And through our love and respect for animals, we are their voice.

Like our ancestors, the oral transmission of knowledge is at the heart of our tour.

We’re both passionate about our profession, nature and culture, and sharing our way of life correlates with respect.
The names we’ve chosen for our tours are in Reo Tahiti to emphasize our language.
We’ve chosen simple words to represent the tour’s activity.

Our qualifications

Averii holds the Certificat de Pilote Lagonnaire (CPL) and the BPP GAPPN in “lagoon activity”. The most experience diploma in lagoon activities, equivalent to a state certificate but specific to French Polynesia.

Veroarii Doucet holds the Certificat de Pilote Lagonnaire (CPL) and the CPPA APPN randonnée aquatique.

Veroarii is also an artist, professional musician, author, composer, singer, performer and ambassador for the “Te mana o te Moana” association, which works to protect turtles. He composed and sang the association’s song. Well-known artist in French Polynesia and musical entertainer in Moorea’s hotels and restaurants. He’ll take you away with his songs.

They both have several years’ experience, having worked as guides and captains for other Moorea lagoon service providers, particularly during whale season. By the way, they know Moorea’s lagoon inside out and are both seasoned pros. You can rely on their professionalism. Sharing their knowledge and know-how is a priority for them, and one that they make a point of highlighting on their excursions.

Our eco-responsible approach

Our lagoon and whale watching tours focus on the unexplored areas of Moorea’s lagoon. We will avoid populated areas as much as possible. Far from the tourist zone, you’ll discover lush flora and bewitching mountains. Let’s not forget all the shades of blue nature has to offer in the lagoon and ocean.

We consume and buy products and services from local businesses and craftsmen such as fishermen, farmers and other trades…

We do our utmost to be as eco-responsible as possible. During our tours, we give priority to products such as reusable cutlery, organic sun cream, the removal of drifting plastic objects and respect for marine fauna and flora.

As Polynesians, we’re very respectful of the environment. We respect and protect it as best we can, because it’s our source of food, water and air.

“FA’ATURA TE NATURA” means “RESPECT NATURE”.
